Have you made a great repaint and put it in the sim. In this tutorial you learn how to do it.

Install your repaint

Install your repaint with the next steps.

Save your repaint

When you have completed your repaint you have to save it as a .PNG file. All your layers will be put together and saved as a .PNG file.

Open the folders

Open the folder were you saved your repaint and the folder the simulator is installed.

(PC_NAME) > Program Files or Documents > Metrosim > Beta(Versionnumber) > Data > Custom > Textures.

Copy it

When both folders are open you can copy the repaint file into the texture folder by right clicking on the repaint file and click copy. Now go to the texture folder and click right and then on paste. Rename it as MSkin (MG2) or TSkin (SG2) as you can read in the next paragraph. Your done and can start the simulator.

Placing it in the simulator itself

When the repaint is in the texture folder you can place it in the game. The file name gives the following trains.

  • MG2
    • MSkin1 = 5011
    • MSkin2 = 5027
    • MSkin3 = 5062
    • MSkin4 = 5110
  • SG2
    • TSkin1 = 5204
    • TSkin2 = 5221
    • TSkin3 = 5243
    • TSkin4 = 5259
