The VRI fully called, Verkeersregel Installatie (Traffic control system) is used on railcrossings with no AHOB instalation for cars, cyclists and/or pedestrians. It has two kind of signs for the metro trains, one with a blue ATS light and one without the blue ATS light. If there are no AHOB's for pedestrians they will be warned by AKI's.
