Beta 3.12 was the ninth publicly released version of Metrosimulator Beta 3. It was released on September 29th, 2017.

On October 23rd 2017, an update of 3.12, called "Beta 3.12 Update 1" was released to fix some bugs on the maps.

New features in Update 1

• Rijndam 2020
  • Tram line T2 is extended to Ketelplein via Ambachtslaan
  • Ketelplein and Ambachtslaan stations are adapted for the tram network
  • A third plaform is added to Station Buitenvelden
  • Due to the tram line extension, the railway line loop towards Noordvliet, has been made underground
  • Several bug fixes

  • Several spawnpoints were added for the Simvliet Railway Line

  • New Line M6 (Station Blaak - Tropicana)
  • New Tram network
    • Line T1 (Station Buitenvelden - Centraal Station)

  • In Line M1, a small branch was added, from Garenmarkt to Westpoort
  • Line M2 terminates again at Centraal Station
  • Line M4 now terminates at Transferium Rijndijk via a new tunnel under the city centre
  • The new MCV 9100 MP and MCV 9200 MP AT rolling stock are introduced to the Airport Shuttle
  • The Airport Shuttle is converted to the rubber-tyred system
  • Rijndam Rail extension, from Rijndam Centraal to Rijndam Molenwijk
  • Transportmuseum gets a full-length platform 2, equipped with DRIMs, TBAs and nameboards, replacing the old smaller one
  • The emplacement at Panbos is dismantled and removed

  • A new bridge is added over the Simvliet canal, between Stadionweg and Tussenvelden
  • Due to the bridge, the Stadionweg keerspoor receives a small redesign
  • Extension of the Simvliet Railway Line with the stations Simvliet West, Simvliet Buiten and Delfsblaak
  • There is now, an abandoned/not used railway station, Simvliet Poort
  • 2 stadiums are built on Simvliet, one near Stadionweg and one abandoned near Delfsblaak
• Other Changes
  • The locomotives have a new diesel motor sound
  • Gates and posts for OV-Chipkaart are now available and they have already been installed on Rijndam
  • RET M-signposts have been placed at the entrances of all overground and at some underground stations
