The RSG3 stock is the newest passenger rolling stock in Simvliet. The trains were built between 2008 and 2009 and were ordered to enter service on the A-Line as soon as it was completed. The RSG2 trains are equipped to operate on the A-Line between Stadionweg and Springstraat, but cannot operate on the ATB protected sections of the network. The unmodified SG2 trains however, are not equipped to operate on the ZUB protected section between Stadionweg and Springstraat. In order to serve the complete route from Springstraat to Simvliet Centrum, new trains which can communicate with both the ATB and ZUB protection systems were needed. These trains are mostly used in on the A-Line, but can be used on the B and C lines as well. The fleet consists of 22 sets.
