This is a railways-only version of Rijndam 2022 v1.4. The Rijndam metro and tram networks have been removed, in an effort to make the railway-part easier on your computer. Only line M1 between Rijndam Molenwijk and Simvlietlaan is still usable.
There is one timeline difference to Rijndam 2022 v1.4; in this timeline, the Denia branchline did not become part of the metro/tram networks after Rijndam 2006. Therefore, it is still a narrow gauge railway branchline in this version. However, to make through trains to Rijndam Centraal possible, the branchline is now dual gauge (1000mm and 1435mm). Also, at Rijndam Centraal there is a 7th platform track, to accomodate trains to and from Denia, and a few switches have been re-arranged to make two of the sidings available from track 7.
It's a pretty big network; when you start a simulation, it may take a minute to load, depending on your computer.
The total network is however much smaller then Rijndam 2022 (due to the metro/tram networks taken out), so it should be faster then Rijndam 2022.
REQUIRED AT LEAST:
Metrosimulator version 3.15 (or higher)
REQUIRED FOR ACTIVITIES (Rolling stock):
- TRAXX locomotive ( -> Download: http://sim.bemined.nl/wiki/TRAXX_F140_MS )
- RijndamRail Update, release of 01 april 2020 at least ( -> Download: http://sim.bemined.nl/wiki/ICM )
- VT98 Railbus ( -> Download: http://sim.bemined.nl/wiki/VT98_Schienenbus)
- FGV Diesel train ( -> Download: http://sim.bemined.nl/wiki/FGV_2300)
INSTALLATION:
1) Copy the files (RijndamRailways.000 and the Data folder) to the folder on your computer where "Simulator.exe" is located.
2) Start the simulator.
NOTE:
When setting your destination through your trainnumber, be aware of the following!
- When traveling between Rijndam and Zeeburg via the HSL, your trainnumber MUST start with "9" (for example"9114CX"). Otherwise, the CVL will set a route via Vierdijk!
- At Hemlo and Groenburg; Intercity's will cause a departing path to be set earlier, sou you can pass the station without stopping. But only if the trainnumber starts with "8" or "9"!
- In the Channel Tunnel, trains with a train number starting with "1" are treated as autotrain shuttles between both tunnel terminals. These do not require a specific destination letter at the end.
- At Denia, trains with a train number starting with "1" (and destinationletter "D") are send to track 1, from where you can reach the depot.
- From Denia, destination "C" send you to Rijndam Centraal (do this with standard gauge trains ONLY). Destination "R" sends you to Rijndam Zuid.
The depot at Denia is dual gauge. However, the depot's train detection can't handle both gauges at the same time.
So when using the depot for standard gauge trains, use "DNA.cty".
When using the depot for narrow gauge trains, use "DNA_NarrowGauge.cty".
It should be possible to use both at the same time (if you use one track for narrow gauge and one for standard gauge), but the 'normal' yard will not detect parked narrow gauge trains and vice versa.
Therefore, if you use both at the same time, the simulator with act as if there are actually two separate depots (in which case it's up to you to keep the 'other' track free for the 'other' depot to use).
