LUSS Speed Limit Marker

Post by tyteen4a03 »

I'm pretty sure on the London Underground system, for speed increases it applies right after the train passes the speed board, without needing to wait for the entire length of the train to pass. Or am I misremembering?

That’s if the sign has a red circle around it if I’m not the mistaken. On the other hand, the sign with the black circle, in the row below, says “change speed after cab has passed”

It's actually the reverse - check the Virtual District Line guide here: https://drive.google.com/u/0/uc?id=1NnM ... t=download

LU Speed Markers (black only) are passable after the front of the cab has passed (whether it's an increase or a decrease of the speed limit; I suppose in the latter case you apply service brake (-2) as soon as you hit the marker). NR Speed Markers (red circle) are passable only after the rear of the train has passed for speed increases; it is applied immediately for speed reductions. Normally this would be accompanied by yellow speed limit warning posts but there isn't any in the game.

The VDL Stock Operation Manual is a fantastic resource on how to drive LUL trains: https://drive.google.com/u/0/uc?id=1v_5 ... t=download
