Networker trains

Post by metrolord »

As we are far to the England theme now, let me introduce this train from UK.
The Networker series are popular in England and Scotland.
They have a really cool motor sound and look pretty good. They are sometimes called "smile trains" because of their front looking like a smiling face.
These trains could fit on a small network in a hilly landscape. If there was a railway network on the London - styled map, it could fit perfectly, as these trains are serving a suburban service near London.
The most popular varients of the series are Class 166, Class 365 and Class 466.

Actually, Networker trains were only used in England, particularly around London. However the Class 365 were only used in Scotland for one year on Edinburgh to Glasgow routes while the introduction of the Class 385 EMUs were delayed.

Also, there is a Class 165 Diesel Multiple Unit, they are part of the Networker family.

I doubt we will have a Network Rail in a new English metro route yet.

Michiel can base it off some Train Simulator English route, like ECML Kings Cross etc.
