Line 12 is a tram line in Hageningen, in the Simvliet map. It runs from Hageningen Megamall towards Zoutplas Molenpark.

History

The current line 12 was opened in 2020 with the Simvliet-Hageningen lightrail. Before that, the number 12 was used for a different line that ran between Hageningen Strand and Hageningen Centraal via Clauspark and Stadhuis. When the lightrail was opened, services between Clauspark and Centraal were reduced as the lightrail was a better alternative for most people, and the line number was reused for the new line to Megamall.

Rolling stock

Line 12 is operated by R-Net KTMCL trams which run as single units only due to the platform length on the line towards Megamall. Trains are stabled at Strandboulevard, running as line 11 to/from Zoutplas at start/end of service, as well as at the Hageningen tram depot, running off-duty between the depot and Hageningen Centraal.

Services

During weekdays line 12 has a 6 trams per hour service between 7:00 and 20:00. Early morning and late evening there is no service on this line, passengers will have to change at Hageningen Centraal. On Fridays the service is extended in the evening until 21:00. During the weekend the service starts later in the morning and ends earlier as well.
