Due to urgent construction works in the tunnel between Einsteinstraat, Dagobertlaan and Oranjeboomstraat, replacement services avoiding the tunnel have to be operated on the Rijndam Tram network during the following three weeks.
As there is a shortage in bidirectional rolling stock, it was decided to couple some ZGT trams end-to-end to operate a shuttle service between Denia and Blaak, where passengers traveling towards City Center can use the M6 to continue their journeys.
Here is a shuttle train consisting of ZGT 810 and 822 waiting to depart Denia to travel to Blaak. Right next to it is type M6 train 5815 to Centraal Station, which will leave shortly before the shuttle train.

Rotterdam metro extension to the beach at Hoek van Holland, which has been opened last week as part of metroline B. Here is a cabview ride of the extension:

(The last bit is on tracks raised a bit off the ground. This is so sand can't get in the way of rail traffic on days with a lot of wind.)
