[WIP] Los Angeles - Nippon Sharyo P865 & P2020 Metro/LRV
If converted to MSB, the P865 & P2020 fleet should be equipped with ATB and ROZ for operation, and the P2020 to be additionally equipped with ZUB. This would bypass making basically American duplicate versions of the Dutch system that is essentially the same while using the Imperial system. Though ZUB is not an exact parallel to the moving block system that the P2020 used to operate on, it can be neglected.
Background
The Nippon Sharyo built P865 and P2020 light rail vehicles (tram-train/light interurban - rapid transit) were designed after the Siemens U2 for service on the Los Angeles Metro Rail system which began service in 1990. The initial 54 P865 fleet (100-153) served the Metro Blue Line light rail. With the opening of the Metro Green Line light metro, 15 P2020 cars (154-168) which were newer versions of the P865 with GoA2 specifications began service. The P2020 fleet would later join the P865 fleet on the Blue Line while new Siemens P2000 (customized SD460) cars replaced them on the Green Line in 2001.
In 2014, the fleet would receive new LED destination signs with 'line RGB' capabilities to replace the outdated scrollsign. The P865 would retire from service in 2018 with 3 preserved and only one of which operational for a railway museum. The P2020 would retire by 2021, with one operational at a different railway museum.
All of Los Angeles Metro Rail's light rail fleet are standardized to be articulated and double ended, and are required to be boarded at a high level platform. They can work as multiple units in revenue service up to 3 cars. The most similar fleet in MSB are the SG2 5200 series. However, it is a light rail vehicle so turn signals, pantographs and scrollsigns are synced between coupled units. The top operating speed of 60mph (97kmh). However, line speed usually capped at 55mph (89kmh). The fleet also allows a tight turning radius as the LA Metro system has some instances where trains are turning through city blocks. The train initially had Faiveley transit pantographs but were swapped for Brecknell Willis High Reach styled pantographs from TransTech/Wabtec in the mid-2010s. (Not important) The fleet uses 750 V DC of catenary wire and trolley wire for power.

Sounds promising, this will also be the first bits of American rolling stock for the simulator.

Well, technically... North America
Also, the PCC streetcar is actually of US origin.
And if we're being brutally technical, the Nippon Sharyo LRV's are of Japanese origin as in its maker's name. Built in Nagoya, Japan and assembled on property in Los Angeles, California.
