Haha... If you don't align the doors, they won't open... There is some margin for error, but not so much that passengers wouldn't be able to get on and off.
I am placing London style stopmarkers at the end of the platforms to help you stop in the correct position. Of you stop too much off-center of the stopmarker, the doors cannot be opened.

Based on the HTM depot/switch signal; the light signals for Lausanne, located in the network where continuing after the signal is not just based on "track is clear" (but typically where a path must be set first due to switches);
