I just copied all my files and folders to the new laptop. Other then having to get used to a different size keyboard and screen (a bit smaller... but I get greatly increased calculation power in return), and the hassle of re-installing software and re-inputting licence codes where needed, I can now continue as if nothing happened.
And don't worry; I will store important backups on external storage media too.

Current progress on the network (red: yet to-do. Orange: work in progress. Green: station done):

At Lausanne Flon, the platforms (and platform edge doors) are there, but nothing else.
At Bessieres, the station itself is done, but the scenery around it (there is an outside area there as the line passes over a bridge, under another bridge) still needs to be done (only the two bridges are there at the moment).
The depot is still missing; only tracks at this point, about which I am not really happy yet. I might just delete what I have there now and re-do it before building the depot buildings around them.

You are not working at IT. That's why you don't understand it.
