Plans for a Munich-style map?
I know this topic may seem like a suggestion, but i'm just asking something that i was wondering about the other day.
For a pretty long time, we now have the Munich Type A train in the game. But what we don't have is a suitable map for that train. I know it runs fine on the dutch systems, but i was wondering if there are any plans on making part of the Munich U-Bahn or a similar german-style system in the future.

A Tram is good, but a Metro is better!

No plans for a German map at this time (from me). I have just started on a Swiss map.

Re: Plans for a Munich-style map?
let's finish rottterdam first.. this is a rotterdam simulator i thought ??
Re: Plans for a Munich-style map?
Many of the objects etc. are inspired by it and it started like that but it's not a Rotterdam metro simulator. After all there are already non-Dutch maps.

Please tell me where does it say Rotterdam in the title of the simulator?
Metro Simulator is about metropolitan rapid transit systems worldwide. It's not exclusive to Rotterdam. Rotterdam was just used as the demonstrator chassis due to our devs' origins.
This is like the 3rd or 4th time you've been trying to gatekeep other systems out of the simulator. This isn't your project. Let the devs do as they wish. Adding more systems also benefits the publicity of the sim and adds to the devs' portfolio in (game) design.

Re: Plans for a Munich-style map?
I have looked into it for a moment... It seems to be a lot like the Rotterdam system; it uses the same train control system (LZB / Linienförmige Zugbeeinflussung / linear train control, which in Rotterdam is called ATB, but it really is LZB801). Most of it is underground, but to make it interesting, you'd want at least the surface part of line U6 in the north of the city (which includes the depot, which I visited in october 2011 during an open day, but sadly I do not have good photo's of it).
It would require a large amount of custom objects to be created (looking at the stations in this video: https://youtu.be/qBIirjzPC8g), so that would be a huge project. I'm not sure I'm up for this (but never say never)... So for now; just use the train on the Simvliet and Rijndam networks.
