Rijndam Depot Movements

Post by tunneltrain96 »

I normally like to do depot movements to simulate old/new stock being moved around. However, there have been a few places were it can be quite a challenge to get the trains moving in the right depot since the CVL map doesn't always show the whole set of points that can be changed (probably to keep some of them hidden ;) )

One in particular is the shunting sidings between the borders of the M4 and the airport shuttle. I've tried changing a few points but the CVL doesn't show the points to move to actually get the points moved over to/from the airport shuttle tracks. I'll attach a screenshot of what I mean below. I believe this happens on every version of Rijndam that includes the airport shuttle.

I do have other places that I need assistance with. I do like the little oddities and secrets of things like this as I've mentioned before.

Or you can use Rijndam 2020/2022 as it's not hidden there :D

Pressing the J key should also switch a switch?

No. The track arrangement goes completely against that as a thru service.

You drive a consist of a train (or trains) from one depot to the next, sometimes you might need to switch tracks/trains around, so it can be quite fun if you get the hang of it.

I actually might make a video about doing this soon, depending of if I can get everything to go according to plan.
