Guys please help me my simulator does not start when i open it its just showing grey screen and it stops responding

When you start the simulator, it will show you a gray screen and may not respond for about a minute as the simulator loads files and shows you after the main menu. The same when you select a route, the simulator may not respond for a few minutes because it loads the activity and the map you have chosen.

If it does not start at all, you are probably missing directx files
