Unable to start Metro Simulator Beta

Re: Unable to start Metro Simulator Beta
I'm sorry if I'm being pushy about this issue, but I'd really like to get metro sim working again after not using it in a year or two... So far I've tried reinstalling DirectX, reinstalling C++ libraries and of course redownloading Metrosim installers. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing the problem, or is it an issue with the sim that needs to be patched?

Re: Unable to start Metro Simulator Beta
It's been 2/3 years since the start of this thread, does anyone have any fixes yet? I'm surprised that even after all those years a fix has not been published yet...
I've tried everything that was mentioned in this thread and it still won't start

Re: Unable to start Metro Simulator Beta
Download "dependency walker".
Click open and look for the "simulator.exe" in metrosimulatorbeta install folder and open it from the software.
Under the "Module" section at the bottom, sort by "CPU" and scroll until you see "x86" marked in red.
This will show you the dependencies that are not in the correct "x64" architecture.
Download from dll-files.com the correct version (x64), don't mess it up and copy/replace the dowloaded dll into C:/Windows/system32.
You're done
