Re: Screenshots & Videos
Back in the early days there was a closed beta, which was nothing like what we have these days, there was almost no scenery in those routes and there was barely any sound.

Which is the oldest screenshot from Metro Simulator Beta?
I think there was a screenshot dated from 2006...

Enjoy yourself guys, the very first version from 2003, back when you couldn't even control the trains yet (it was all a predefined animation): https://sim.bemined.nl/Metrosim2003.zip
Re: Screenshots & Videos
Looks surprisingly familiar even though so different. Also, it's interesting that dynamic lighting was there in 2003 when it was publicly out in 2016. Is it okay to put in the wiki? I think it's nice to have it there as part of the sim's history

Re: Screenshots & Videos
It wasn't really dynamic lighting back then, there was a limit of 8 light sources so these scenes were prepared in such a way to never exceed that limit That won't really work in current routes of course, those have thousands of light sources.

Re: Screenshots & Videos
If you told me that original version of Metro Sim from 2003 was a horror game, id genuinely believe you.

Re: Screenshots & Videos
Making it night in all scenes was just an easy way to hide the fact that were was no scenery anywhere
