I didn't know that they've added buses in the game.

Not actually buses, but rubber-tired metro train. We've got a few in MSB, though.
Sjoerd could make buses for MSB, expect they would still be stuck on tracks!

Do you mean a trolleybus or a track bus like the ones in Essen in the Ruhr area?

Wouldnt it make sense to have NS stock running on the lightrail line in the pre-lightrail activity, since the line used to be a railway line ?

This is called a 'Translhor' system, you also get that in Clermont-Ferrand, plus Venice-Mestre and Padua in Italy, Tianjin and Shanghai in China, and Medellín in Colombia. There are seven Translhor tramway networks throughout the world. They are, in fact, not buses!
