Re: Epping-Ongar Railway
Small update:
The Central line can be driven in Coded manual, Restricted manual, and Tripcock. Testruns are being driven, bugs are solved when found.
ATO can also be used, but the effect is limited; the traction handle won't move and the ATO-lights will illuminate when the train moves (so pretty much; it makes it look a bit better when you have the AI drive the train anyway ).
The EOR can be driven using ATB, and all of the above (at 40 kmh / 25 mph). Only tripcock hardware hasn't been installed there, so that means you won't be tripped (so using tripcock is like having no train protection at all)
The 1992 stock is done in the first phase (Sketchup) and has now moved on to the next phase (defining textures in Milkshape 3D).

Small update:
The 1992 stock is still far from finished, but today the first unit has started the first static tests in the simulator; functionality of the front destination display, and the doors.
As these are all 2-car units, and therefore can be controlled from each car (with either a full cab, or shunting controls), this train will offer the possibility of opening all emergency front and intermediate (between the cars) doors.

Looks nice. Should use the same sounds as the existing D78 (1992 stock door sounds and MG2/SG2 traction sounds with the usual compressor sound). By using the MG2/SG2 sound, it almost sounds like the real train when moving.

Well there’s a YouTube video with very clear sound of the 1992 stock itself if Sjoerd can get permission from the person who uploaded it
