I have it on medium and have it as well. I think the sim is confused

Try to delete the file "render.cfg" located in the following directory "C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\MetroSimulator". This may cause it to reappear just in case. For my part I don't have this problem

the only way it works for me is on very high texture mode. same issue at beckton junction also
