Never say never, but recreating a real city requires a lot more work since there are many hundreds if not thousands of unique objects needed to make the route look realistic. In fictional routes you can reuse generic objects all over the place, but in Rotterdam that would look wrong. Plus there is the risk that with all unique buildings with textures, the memory usage eventually becomes too large for the engine to handle, and the whole project has to be delayed until Beta 4 (if that ever happens).

Fair enough, i doubt anyone was expecting rotterdam to come out soon. Maybe splitting the map into 2 or 3 smaller maps might have helped out the memory problem, but I dont know. I hope beta 4 will be a thing one day though.

Could we someday getting Rijndam and Simvliet maps merged? As in the future we will have the Essim town on the simulator...
