The driver forgot to stop at the right time I'm assuming and overshot the buffer. @Michiel can explain beter. I don't know if my explanation is correct.

Here you can find a few more pictures: https://www.nu.nl/binnenland/6087663/me ... oogte.html
I am thinking.... It was dark, so sub-optimal visibility, and probably in combination with an ATB malfunction (as it was obviously doing more then 10 km/h when it hit the end-of-track buffer). The driver was very(!) lucky that piece of art was there!

That is so memable. Does anyone know which 53xx number it is?
Edit: Nvm. It's 5351. Add it to the museum of the Cursed Station of De Akkers with 5201.

Just saw that on BBC News earlier this afternoon.
Had the whale tail sculpture don't exist the driver would have been injured or even killed.

Well there's 2 posibilities:
1. Getting it repaired, even though it's 21 years old
2. Getting it scrapped.

Looks like a Halloween sculpture . Fortunately, this oar did not fall into the water.
Re: Screenshots & Videos
3. Put it out-of-track near the main workshop (or somewhere else out of the way but accesable), and use it as a set of spare partsRotterdamMetroLover wrote: ↑02 Nov 2020, 21:38 Well there's 2 posibilities:
