I wanted to create a topic for sharing transportation content outside of the simulator, starting with this:
This is the very first of its kind here in the US, for all of North America infact. The Los Angeles Metro G Line (or Orange Line for veterans) is getting conventional railroad crossing signals.
The signals here are currently only for demonstration but will be mass produced for the rest of the busway. Who knows, we could see this happen for the rest of North American BRT lines.

I know right? It's such an oddity. But there are also some places around the world that uses their nations' standard level crossing equipment for truck roads too, like this one in the State of Illinois:
