Game crashing on loading

I've just got a new dell laptop, and I've downloaded metro simulator 1.16, but when I try to open it, all that happens is that the window loads, grey screen and all, before closing again, presumably crashing.

Anyone know why this is happening and what I can possibly do?

Try installing DirectX since its a new laptop.
