Email verification not working

I have received several reports of the email verification system not working, such as when creating an account, or when changing the email connected to your account. This results in said account being stuck in a limbo state, where you are unable to log in. I suspect the culprit to be the switch from http to https, since it was around then when this started happening, and I've also noticed other things that have broken, such as embedded YouTube videos. So in the meantime, do not change your email! Hope this gets fixed soon.

I tested this the other day and it worked fine for me, but I guess some other people still had trouble? Must be their provider was blocking the emails. I changed a few settings, hopefully it works better now.

I also have the experience that logging into the forum doesn't always work right, and doesn't go beyond the trying to log in (after you have inputted the username and password). My workaround: while it's trying to login, open an new window, and go to the forum. That works, and is then already logged in. The 'trying to login' window can then be closed.

Perhaps with Michiel's changed settings, it is already solved an that won't be needed anymore

I also had problems, but for the email notification of the posts. Since the site switched to https, I no longer received an email notification until this evening.
