I experienced this issue as well, I doubt it's a GPU issue though - some parts of the tracks at night are super dark (while you can still see lit areas far away quite dimly)

Damn, no one replied you? So I took a look at the area in question, seems like they will have to update this part - either include the depot/yard/siding in the CVL or downgrade the junctions which connect to the main loop to manual

Prague as a suggestion isn't that bad. Besides, in the wiki it's stated that Prague uses the Moscow rolling stock as well.
