Vennes is a metro station in Lausanne that serves Line M2 (Lausanne). At this station, trains can enter/exit the depot of the line, using the middle track (which has a same level crossover with the Ouchy to Croisettes track at the end of the station, to get to the depot). The middle track does not have a platform, so trains to and from the depot have to run out-of-service between Vennes and Croisettes.
