Actually that's the sound of the thyristoric pulse regulation. The same method of regulation is used on CD 162 (Pershing) and CD 362 (Ace) locomotives, although the sound sequences are different. There are 3 frequencies used in thyristoric regulation 1st: 33 Hz, 2nd: 100 Hz and 3rd: 300 Hz
The sound sequence of CD 162 (362) is like this: 33 Hz -> 100 Hz -> 300 Hz
The sound sequence of Tatra T6A5 is like this: 100 Hz -> 300 Hz (Tatra T6A5 uses 33 Hz rarely, for example when, creeping forward in a traffic jam)

WOW! That sounds exactly like Tatra T6A5, only the tone scale is a bit higher.
I'll bet that NS 1700 series locomotive sounds exactly the same like ICM in real life!
