For who is wondering why there is not much news on Rijndam at the moment.... I wanted to work on a Metro project for Metrosimulator for a change :D , so Rijndam is a bit quiet the past few weeks (mostly still needs; train timetable, activities based on that, and then testing of those activities as this phase usually results in finding jet-to-fix issues).
It will resume, but at this moment, I am working on this..... ;)

(As these trains run in 8-car trainsets, it's a bit too long for line M7, but it was a nice place for a screenshot... 8-) )

Fantastic! Also, @Sjoerd, I'm going to be on the Victoria line soon so would you like some custom sounds? ;) ;)

I think I can filter enough sounds from video's like these; ;)

Small question; what would be the preference for cab animation 3 (Ctrl+Shift+X)? Opening of the front door, or activation of window wipers?

Front door because of the lack off rain in the sim it would be cool to have simulated incidents with the front door open

Seeing as in reality they only go above the surface for maintenance, I'd fancy some front door animation!

I might record some sounds then and if you want to use them, you can and you may! :D

Sounds that could be usefull.... ;)
  • idle/stationairy
  • driving (at a constant speed)
  • Doors opening
  • Warning signal + doors closing
  • A "mind the gap" or "please stand back of the closing doors" announcement, if that is heared regularly and not station-specific...
Remember; sounds become useless if you can hear other things in the background (like footsteps, or people talking), as that would become very annoying in the simulator (hearing the exact same footsteps again and again every time you open the doors.... )
