The new train can't be released before the next beta update due to some implemented functions not available in the current beta. But after that it's just a train in the activity script as you know it now. So it's up to you then ;)

HSL does mean "Hogesnelheidslijn" in Dutch. Translated that means High Speed Line. The one Sjoerd is building is based on the line in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Here you go ;)

Sorry, Sjoerd, but I was refering to the track located after the station, as showed in the screenshot posted at the NS TRAXX topic (I think it's the HSL line).
But thanks anyway for that picture.

You asked for a reversing track; there is one at Ypenburg, but not beyond it ;)

Okay, the HSL (High Speed Line);

So does it mean that at Ypenburg you have to switch pantograph in order to continue driving.
Is it that if you don’t your train falls short of voltage and does a emergency brake?

Thanks, Sjoerd. ;) I'm sorry about any mistake.
So, this HSL is another loop?

No, the HSL is not a loop. It ends at another main station, of a nearby city.

No, you do not change pantograph at Ypenburg. the changeover is done on route, after departing the station. First you lower the 1500V DC pantograph, then coast through a powerless section (while transitioning from ATB-EG to ETCS), and then raise the 25 kV AC pantograph.
And the same in reverse on the other end.

Too bad the simulator doesn't work with different voltages, and when running on AI it only operates pantograph 1, so there are no operational problems in the simulator if you use the wrong pantograph. However, if you stop while in the powerless section.... you will be stranded (just like in reality :D ).

(The powerless section is to ensure that a train running with 2 pantographs up can never make a connection between the overhead wire sections of two different voltages. So it is longer then the longest train running on the line.)

Cool, so that means there is another city after Ypenburg... :D
I'm awaiting for updates. ;)

Would I be able to take an E 186 and pair it with the RR-DDMs? I'm looking forward to reenacting the lawsuit against SCRRA's Hyundai Rotem fleet.

You can if you want to :D
