I dont think it will ever be raised to 100 km/h because of the short distances between the stations. Maybe only between Overamstel and Amsterdam RAI.

However, they could be used as extra services between Hageningen Strandboulevard and Zoutplas Centrum.
I did find a mention that when delivered, these trains were "Ordered for 70 km/h, but prepared for 100 km/h", but I did not find any mention that the maximum speed was ever actually raised to 100 km/h.
What are your opinions of making the trains 100 km/h capable? Or making only the newer R-NET versions 100km/h capable?

Okay... Let's propose a compromise (I would like to get all your opinions on this :) ): I'll keep the fixed variants (all the actual trains) on the realistic maximum 70 km/h, but the repaintable vehicles will be able to do 100 km/h.

Okay... The repaints can now do 100 km/h. ;)

I just converted an activity using the Amsterdam metro's on Simvliet 2020 lines ABCD ("Morning line B"). The user is put in a line B train using an Amsterdam S3, but ofcourse you are free to take over any other train you like.

Just to be a bit different... I'll deliver the repaintable S3/M4 in the livery of another European city :D ;
