It's not a bug, there are simply more destinations than letters in the alphabet and there are 'via' routes as well, so destinations signs need an actual timetable to work. There are 90 different texts that the PIDs can show (and yeah, they are all included for those trying to figure out as much as possible about future lines).

That was the only route in MSB back then!
