Is Hondwijk aan Zee supposed to be on the west coast? Confusing for me.
Perhaps a rail map of the Rijndam 2022 would be a lot helpful.

Hondwijk aan Zee on the East Coast!

I guess the Rijndam area is either set on an island (with a rail connection to the mainland somewhere) or a fictional peninsula.
There are a few islands and peninsula on the west coast of The Netherlands.

Or we could have a peninsula that have the cities of Hageningen, Simvliet and Rijndam perhaps

Or just a complete fictitious map!!

Or is it just the sun rises in the west and set in the east?!

When I started on Rijndam 2016, the day/night cycle was not part of the simulator yet. As a result, Rijndam is rotated 90 degrees in relation to the movement of the sun. Plans are in place to correct this in a later version of the simulator.

With Denia set in the South and Zeeburg and Hondwijk aan Zee set in the East, Rijndam would have to be set on a peninsula or an island with the rail connection to the mainland.

Intercity trains going north through Westplein would be going to Hageningen, while going east through Vierdijk would be going to Simvliet and the mainland...

After all Rijndam is Fictional
