Dénia? Is the station renovation almost finished?
Re: Rijndam
Yes
Looks finished to me... (too bad the trees are gone from the platform)
But one station down the line, Alqueries (I think "Denia West" would be a better name), they haven't even started yet; the high platform is still there, and I even found a list of train fares for 2014 in the 'shelter';
For reference; it is 6 zones to Alicante. That is 95 km from Denia. And they ask 12,20 euro for a return ticket! In the Netherlands a return ticket for a similar distance (Leiden - Breda) costs 31,40 euro.
The FGV has ordered 6 diesel-electric Citylink trams for this line, to run a direct Alicante Luceros - Denia service. That will be the longest tram connection I know off.

//Voor zover ik weet is de kusttram in Belgie ( met 67 km en 60 haltes), de langste tramlijn ( zonder overstap) ter wereld, voorlopig nog.//
As far as I know, The Kusttram ( Coastal tram) has the longest route with no change in the world, for now

Re: Rijndam
Wrong forum - it's the one at the bottom for Dutch users. Also, quite amazingly long for a tram route, I wonder what the drivers are feeling doing a route on those?
Re: Rijndam
In Rotterdam I see lots of subway drivers with a JBL speaker in the cab, whilst trams have a car radio installed. But I guess there's enough to do by focusing on the route. And there's always this:

I think they will like it; with those distances, you won't be driving the same stretch of track 6 times per day, but only once or twice.BritDriver wrote: ↑10 Apr 2018, 11:11 Also, quite amazingly long for a tram route, I wonder what the drivers are feeling doing a route on those?

I don't quite like the new CGL station, the roof is too long, and not modern enough for a station built in 2017. I like the benches and hedges though.

Re: Rijndam
I just figured out that the checkered tram platforms drops my phrames dramatically. I'd say below 5fps.
This is now a dead account.
