Re: Map idea
If you make it, put this in Rijndam then it will be a lot more interesting .
Re: Map idea
The Rijndam platforms would be to high
No, IF I make it, I would probably use it for the Glasgow route, which I could then continue to build with a more accurate (small) tunnel profile, as I would not have to accommodate the larger RET metro's.

Yeah, I guess so.Sjoerd wrote: ↑04 Feb 2018, 20:16I haven't made any promises...!
I said "Perhaps I'll do a new attempt in the future" (I have tried before, but the model didn't load in my software). I am not sure yet if I do it or not. Time will tell.... Anyway, IF I do it, it will be this model; goo.gl/ZM7y9E
And that station that was never build.... They began building it, but never finished. The remains are still there

Re: Map idea
If it's possible to hide tracks, ever thought about disguising a tram as a bus?
This is now a dead account.

Did someone mentioned "Cascaes line"?Alfacinha315 wrote: ↑04 Feb 2018, 12:04 Here's another great idea: the Cascais line, in Lisbon, probably with SG2 or SG3 trains. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX6yWFvWC5s
Or, why not the Sintra line? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3agsfD7aJtM
This was my first train ever shown to the public, and last time I went to Lisbon, I went on purpose to "Cais do Sodre" to take some pictures that I was in need of... I wouldn't mind releasing it for this line, I do have in mind the Cravens units too.

So it was at some many years ago, right?Guille3604 wrote: ↑05 Feb 2018, 22:21Did someone mentioned "Cascaes line"?Alfacinha315 wrote: ↑04 Feb 2018, 12:04 Here's another great idea: the Cascais line, in Lisbon, probably with SG2 or SG3 trains. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX6yWFvWC5s

These trains were (almost) converted into a different model, with a modern look.

If I'm not mistaken in the early 2000's they were refurbished... You can still have a ride on a 1920ish chassis with an inox body made in the 1960's, a fully operational museum line! Too bad they scrapped the Cravens units, they were more modern that these Sorefames trainsets.

They were refurbished in the 90's/early 2000's, but some components, like the engines, are still from the 40's.
That's why we call Cascais line as a 'museum line'... And yes, too bad they scrapped some units at Entroncamento. They could be useful to deal with suppressed trains, due to a lack of rolling stock. But ok, until 1st January 1977 this was the only line belonged to Sociedade Estoril, it was later repassed under CP domain.

Well yeah, just for instance, you have chassis that come from the Baume & Marpent units... Back from the 1920's, so yeah, I call it myself a true museum line, and I'm always joking with portuguese when they say that Portugal don't respect old trains, I always come with this reply: "CP doesn't care about old trains, you must be kidding! First is Entroncamento, then it's Cascais line!".

Re: Map idea
We also have the same situation with the diesel rolling stock. Old engines, with 90's chassis.
On Algarve, Alentejo, Leste and Oeste lines (with UDD 0450 and Allan 0350). And, in Douro and Minho line, we have spanish rolling stock in second hand, the 592 and 592.0 series. The same situation to the electric railcars running on Regional services.
Maybe in the future Cascais line has new trains, and a direct connection to Cintura line, as our governement has been promising, so, until that day, we have to visit that museum line as we can...
