Your ideas here!
I have seen many forum users have discussed about their ideas of their map, including a Spanish and American one. So I've decided to show my own ideas about a British map based on London in the 1980s. It would include two tube-style rolling stocks, the (pre-refurbished) 1967 and 1986 tube stocks.

I have also included the map for it: https://twitter.com/friend_inc/status/9 ... 7482013696
(The year of the map is 1988)
This is just my idea, it could change over time with the trains, theme, etc.

Re: Map idea
It's going to be impossible because you have to find a really good sketchup for the model. Is that correct Sjoerd?
Re: Map idea
There actually is a very good LU 1973 stock available. But a previous attempt a few months ago to import it into my 3D program failed; the model file size was probably too big, and it would not load. Perhaps I'll do a new attempt in the future, stripping the model into smaller components before transferring them one by one.

Re: Map idea
This topic states Map idea so I going to temporarily hijack it.
So remember the Blue Line remake I purposed? I did some thinking about other routes in the Metro Rail system and decided that the Gold Line is a better route to remake. The line is mostly on a private Right-o-Way but has tunneling, elevated, street running, and freeway median running (sampling the vibes of the other lines). More info can be provided via wiki: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_Li ... les_Metro)

This is now a dead account.

You could recreate Tren Urbano de San Juan. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tren_Urbano
Or, the Lisbon metro in 1988. I could help with the last one. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... t_1988.PNG

Re: Map idea
Here's another great idea: the Cascais line, in Lisbon, probably with SG2 or SG3 trains. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX6yWFvWC5s
Or, why not the Sintra line? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3agsfD7aJtM

Re: Map idea
I would really like to make the Alicante - Benidorm - Denia line. It has a subway section in the Alicante city center, a long tramway section along the beach, and some very scenic mountain parts (changing over to a diesel-powered railway at Benidorm, which is in the proces of transformation to tram exploitation), eventually ending in Denia.

But the current editor just does not support the terrain along large parts of the route, so it could never be as realistic as I would like it to be.
Therefore, I can only represent this beautiful line by the Denia terminus in the Rijndam network.

Re: Map idea
So as Sjoerd is making a tube train, I plan to add authentic British scenery, which includes stations. There might be ones looking like these examples:
This one was never built but looks superb:

Not yet, I believe.
Re: Map idea
I haven't made any promises...!
I said "Perhaps I'll do a new attempt in the future" (I have tried before, but the model didn't load in my software). I am not sure yet if I do it or not. Time will tell.... Anyway, IF I do it, it will be this model; goo.gl/ZM7y9E
And that station that was never build.... They began building it, but never finished. The remains are still there
