- In Rijndam 1985, Noorderpoort is a terminus, and track 3 is just ment as an emergency/exit platform. In the timetable, only metro's going into the siding beyond platform 2 will use the track at platform 3 (which is one per day; the last metro arriving at Noorderpoort ends here). And perhaps a metro might use it if delays cause the other platform tracks to be occupied on arrival.
I would want there to be stairs on the city-end in 1985 for incidental use, like events. (even if the grab handle is clipping, the passage is wider than 1 escalator but narrower than 2 escalators.) During that time, trains mostly terminated without pickup at platform 3. (I guess only the last train to Noorderpoort & the rare freight train would use platform 3)

- In Rijndam 2016, the platform came in regular use for metro's continuing to the former railways to Panbos and the Airport. The platform was not changed. The escalators were set on platform entry at the beginning of the platform, and platform exit at the end.
- In Rijndam 2018, I might change it in the next version, but the current version has already been turned in to Michiel for packaging in Beta 3.11.
In 2016 onwards, platform 3 is in regular use, so the 2 escalators + stairway would be fine. either that or the 1985 Stairway Solution™.
