Re: BETA 3.10 FAQ (Read before starting new topic!)
File size is supposed to be 105 Megabytes
Could you please tell me your Browser and OS?
You might also try downloading the file from my Google Drive (unofficial download, no support when using my file, use at your own risk) to see if somethings wrong with your browsers downloading behaiviour. Using a Downloadmanager and/or connection to your network with a phyiscal LAN cable instead of WLAN might also help.

Re: BETA 3.10 FAQ (Read before starting new topic!)
Well Metrosim Germany. It seems that this FAQ section helped a lot since you made it. That's great, but let me add some more questions for further support in the future.
Q: My computer hums loudly or shuts down by itself when I play Metrosim. What's wrong?
A: That primarily means this. Your computer/laptop is full of dust and/or another rubbish that blocks air ducts and prevents computer/laptop to "breathe" properly. Clean your computer up and problem is over, but be careful if you have laptop. Some laptops can be tricky to clean up. If you are afraid, that you will damage your laptop trying to clean it up, send your laptop to service center for clean up.
Another option is (if you cleaned up your computer/laptop but problem persist), that you have insufficient or defective cooling. I reccomend to send your computer/laptop to service center and let them check computer cooling out.
Useful tip: If you have integraged graphic you can prevent overheating and reduce humming by enabling power saving mode in power options in control panel. This reduce CPU load and caps it (it doesn't allow CPU load go higher than maximum limit you set). Maybe You'll notice FPS drops but is much better to have less FPS than fried CPU.
Q: I have low FPS. How can I increase it?
A: It depends when FPS drops and what causes it. If your FPS drops when you are going trough specified area or when big ammount of trains is in same area, it is because of too big amount of objects to be rendered. You have to deal with it or get better hardware.
If you have low FPS independent on where are you in the map, (I didn't mean to be rude, okay?) you have s****y hardware and it can barely handle this sim. Get a better hardware.
Q: Is it possible to go on NS railway track with metro train?
A: Yes it is! In Rijndam you can spawn a train directly onto NS railway track (watch out for freight train). In Simvliet you have to spawn a train in Simvliet Haven and tow it into neighboring NS railway track using diesel locomotive. In both cases make sure not to use MG2, because MG2 is useless on overhead wire track. Also I don't recommend to use RSG2 because NS railway track uses some kind of security system compatible with ATB and because RSG2 has only ZUB security system, it can't be properly secured on NS railway track
Interesting fact: Despite of fact that metro trains can drive on NS railway track without any issues in sim, in real life they can't. If you try to do it you'll fry the train up, because of different traction voltage (750V DC in metro network, aprox. 1500V DC in NS railway network, in some parts even 25 000V AC)
Q: Why SG2 and RSG2 trains aren't more used in Simvliet 2020 and Rijndam 2018 activites?
A: I guess you haven't got four dimensional thinking got you? The SG2 and RSG2 train are too old for the time where these two maps take place. Although RSG2 are used in Rijndam metro line M5 between sections Transferium and Denia
More questions added
Q: I have mac/linux and game doesn't work. Can you help me?
A: NO! NO! NO! HELL NO! Only Windows is supported by this sim! So if you don't have PC with Windows, get one!
Q: I have Windows Vista/XP and game doesn't work. Can you help me?
A: For XP users: I can't believe you are still using this OS. Yes it was very good, but it's outdated now. Please upgrade to newer OS.
For Vista users: YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! Do you know, that Vista is slow an faulty (censored)?! Please upgrade! Vista can't be trusted.

If you want to make a very fast ride, just disable ATB/ZUB, put trottle to 1.00 and enjoy.

Re: BETA 3.10 FAQ (Read before starting new topic!)
Just like in Portugal... Try to raise the Cascais line trains pantographs in the other lines on Lisbon area (like Sintra line): it will give you fireworks, and that's not what we want to São João night...brozma wrote: ↑23 Jun 2017, 19:36Interesting fact: Despite of fact that metro trains can drive on NS railway track without any issues in sim, in real life they can't. And if you want to drive old rolling stock in all activities of the new version (like Simvliet 2020 and Rijndam 2018) just change rolling stock number in it's .act files. For example: in Simvliet 2020 you can replare RGS3 on morning rush line A activity for RSG2, just type "RSG2.xml" in stand of "RSG2.xml". Or in Rijndam 2018 you can replace "RSG3.xml" by "SG2.xml". Here's an example with an MG2 replacing an 5600 at Line C, in Mega Line C activity, due to rolling stock rupture, and in order to not cancelling the 10 a.m. train from Simvliet Airport. download/file.php?id=1296brozma wrote: ↑23 Jun 2017, 19:36Q: Why SG2 and RSG2 trains aren't more used in Simvliet 2020 and Rijndam 2018 activites?

You also can do the same thing with Rijndam 1985, for exmple, replacing "SG2-1982.xml" by "5600.xml", for example. And in Rijndam 2018 Airportshuttle service still uses SG2 with livering for the effect...

More or less... I didn't see it in real life, but someone told me on Facebook, and also saw it in an image from a train enthusiasts group.MP 85 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2017, 22:23Like this ?Alfacinha315 wrote: ↑23 Jun 2017, 20:44Just like in Portugal... Re: BETA 3.10 FAQ (Read before starting new topic!)
@MP 85: Not exactly like in this video. In video, that was a short circuit caused by defective insulators on loco's roof. That's a huge difference from an event I mentioned above in questions.Alfacinha315 wrote: ↑24 Jun 2017, 09:49More or less... @Alfacinha315: WTF is São João night? Is it some kind of national celebration or what? Don't be surprised I am asking. I am not Portugese. I am Czech

Yes it is, celebrated only in Oporto and Braga.
Sorry about the confusion... I used it to contextualize with my opinion, it was only a joke.

Re: BETA 3.10 FAQ (Read before starting new topic!)
Hello, I have some problem with the graphic card choice, it allows only to choose my primary graphic card (Intel HD 5500) and not my second graphic card AMD Radeon R5 M230, I've monitored the laptop during a game it uses only the primary which has 128mb dedicated -_- so performance is very bad.
Any advice?
Thanks!
