A tower PC will do as well. Its often cheaper, you can pick up a used Win 7 64 Bit for low costs, if its only for MetroSim. But look for one that has Nvidia graphics.

Well, There could be a one question: How can I find out, if my OS is 32 or 64 bit? Is there any way how to make computer show me the version of OS (if it's 32 or 64 bit)?
I guess I have 64 bit version, because the metrosim on my laptop works great. The only small problem is when I go to the underground section of Rijndam the FPS drops to 20. somewhere else on the surface is run around 40 FPS. It's not a big deal so I got used to it. Also for some reason, when I start the metrosim, a few seconds later my laptop starts hum loudly and airflow from CPU air duct is very big. I tried to clean air duct up, but it still hums after that. I guess the metrosim's engine is making a high CPU load. But this is beta so I also got used to it.

If you want to make a very fast ride, just disable ATB/ZUB, put trottle to 1.00 and enjoy.
