Morg City

Post by LosAngelesMetro56 »

Morg City currently contains 2 routes out of 5. It also contains 200 bus routes that spread all throughout the county. All lines are organized the way LA Metro is organized. The rail lines are indeed, the 800s in number lines. For bus shuttles of a rail line, will display a number in the 800s depending on what line.

Morg County Metropolitan Transportation Authorities Bus Service(not important):
1-99: Local to and from Downtown
100-199: Local West and East in other sections
200-299: Local North and South in other sections
300-349: Limited Stops to/from Downtown
350-399: Limited Stops in other sections
400-499: Express Service to/from Downtown
500-599: Express Service in other sections
600-699: Shuttles and Circulation
700-749: Rapid to/from Downtown
750-799: Rapid in other sections

Morg County Metropolitan Transportation Authorities Rail Service:
801: Yellow Line
802: Blue Line(subject to change)

In the Rail network, there are supposed to be 5 routes but 2 is enough for now. Each line will have there own Division Yard. Division 3 is the Yellow Line yard. It will be located in between Easton and Phillips Stations. Division 7 is the Blue Line yard. This one located in the Paris Hills. My yard design features a loop track with a car wash(I'm prepared for vehicle evolution). Rolling stock will only feature SG2s, SG2/1s, and a custom design. The lines will only operate 1-3 cars per train. Trains run every 10mins. and 5 minutes in the joint section on the Yellow and Blue Lines. Stations on both lines will only fit 3 car or less SG2s, except for Easton, Vermont, Stoneheaven, Paris Peak, and Crowfoot Airport.

I will appreciate it if someone can recreate for beta standards.

Omsi Steam Edition, or MSTS.
My route is straight up American standard light rail. Does have street running between Downtown Morg and Torrance on the Yellow Line and Dt Morg and Morg Blvd on the Blue Line. But in the section, the trains have there own lane so no road vehicles are allowed.

Trying not to multi post.

Line Descriptions:
The Yellow and Blue Lines start off underground in Downtown Morg City. There's 3 platforms and 3 tracks with tail tracks on the west side of the station. For about half a mile, the lines runs underground, under A Street until it emerges before 5th street. At the entrance to the tunnel, is the first crossing to both line, 5th Street. On the Morg City bound track, the 6th Street station lies. At this station and 7th Street too, you can exit to the Disney Auditorium around the corner on 7th and D Street. You can transfer to the Orange Line(BRT) too. After crossing 6th, 7th streets, and 7th St. Station, the train continues street running through Downtown crossing 8th, 9th, and 11th street. The 12th Street/Town Center station is located in the Financial(Southside), and Fashion(Northside) Districts. At this station, last chance to transfer to the Orange Line as for the Bus Rapid Transit line turns north on 12th Street. Also exit for the outdoor mall on the next block north. Continuing on, the Morg Channel passes under the road and tracks diagonally going northwest and southeast. A Street continues with the trains on its own lane. Crossing 14th Street, the Eastbound track arrives at 16th Street Station, just outside of borderline of Downtown Morg and the community of Central. The next block east from the station like 6th and 7th Stations, is the Glendora Avenue station. 3 blocks east from this station is the split off of the 2 lines: Blue continuing down A street,Yellow turning south onto Bullorth Boulevard. Both routes still street run, and both routes still has their superior lane.

Yellow Line
From the A/Bullorth Junction, the line goes 1 block before Anaheim Station. This station is located in the southeast corner of the Central Community. Just south of Anaheim Street, Bullorth and the median train in counters its first freeway. First it crosses G Street which leads to the expressway's westbound entrance. Then under the freeway and crosses the eastbound entrance. There are 2 more intersections before Torrance Blvd Station, Manfred Ave and Torrance Blvd itself. After that station, the rest of the Yellow Line converts from street running to free running. There are 3 crossings between Torrance and Vermont. The first one is a yellow line crossing only (2 tracks). The other 2 crossings has an industrial, Union Pacific, also crossing the the roads (3 tracks). All Morg County Transit/Metro tracks are completely separate from the industrial tracks. Vermont Station is elevated with 3 tracks. Short Line trains from Crowfoot terminate here on platform 3 because track 3 is not a through track. This station is located in the community of Vermont, north of Vermont Road. From Vermont, the line turns southwest traveling above Vermont Rd while the freight line is on ground level traveling on the north side of the road. The freight line goes on with Vermont Rd. Approaching the Morg Freeway; I-760, trains overhead turns south onto the freeway. Just south of that location, trains enter the Pablo Valley Parkway station. This is the first out of 2 freeway stops. (If you want a hint at what this would look like, check out Sjored's Rijndam topic, the station Rijnkade). Moving down the freeway median at top speeds, the train enters the Phillips Blvd Station, the second freeway stop. When leaving Phillips Station, trains will tunnel under the freeway to get out of the median, and onto a private right-of-way owned by MCMTA. The first opstical to encounter on this R.o.W is the Wilmington River which is right after the tunnel. On the other side is the City of Easton, Division 3 is located to the right. Passing the outside of the Division 3(Yellow Line's train yard) are a bunch of switches. On the left side of the RoW is a park/playground. Trains cross Mall Way before entering Easton Station. The train banks left just past the station to turn South. 2 Crossing. 1 after the bank, and 1 down the route before the Central-South County Twin Tunnels. But, before the twin tunnels, of course the line has to enter the portal first, and in the portal, Palos Verde Avenue Station sits as side platforms. This station is in South Easton and North Lakewood. After the station, than the trains enter twin tunnels while also turning southwest. During the tunnels, the line makes several bends and the Southbound tunnel makes its way under the Northbound tunnel. When entering Lakewood Center, you'll probably notice that the opposite track is not visible. This is because the station is vertical. Track 1 is under Track 2. At this station, you can exit for the Lakewood Mall, Civic Center, and the Lakewood Museum. From the station, the tunnels level out and enters a portal to get back to street level. From the portal exit, the train turns south and crosses 1 road, San Quinton Ave, than its station. Located in the Pico Community, exit here for the San Quinton Park. Moving on, the train crosses 3 streets. First one is shortly after the station. The second one is down the road from the first. In between the 2nd and the 3rd crossings, the train overpass another road. At the 3rd crossing a.k.a. Chavez Blvd, there is a parking lot on the east side of the crossing and a stadium on the opposite side. Approaching Chavez Stadium Station. Exit here for the Chavez Stadium and the transitway on Chavez Fwy: I-45. Next, the train crosses over the I-45 freeway. 3 crossings after and another passover in between the 2nd and 3rd crossing, Trains enter the Talcom Lagoon Station. Exit for the Lagoon on the east side of the station and the Talcom Municipal Airport on the west side. The station layout are side platforms. Platform 2 is before the pedestrian crossing (North) and the Platform 1 is after (South). Platform 1 also leads into the Runway Box. On the other side, it emerges and overpasses south. Back to grade, it crosses 2 roads at once. After the dual crossing, the line stops at Fox Drive Station, located in North Crowfoot. From here, the Yellow Line and freight line which came from the west, runs on a 4 track Right-of-way owned by MCMTA and co-owned by BNSF until just after Crowfoot Civic Center. The trains cross 4 streets. First one is Fox Drive and the 4th is 24th Street. At Crowfoot Civic Center(Formally 23rd St) Station, only 2 platforms but 4 tracks. Due to BNSF being the industrial line, there's only 2 platforms for 2 tracks of the Yellow Line. Exit here for the Crowfoot Civic Center and the Crowfoot Historic Museum. 2 crossings after, the freight line turns soutwest. The Yellow Line crosses a 3rd crossing and passes Newgate Park. Entering Newgate Park Station, you are now in Downtown Crowfoot. After the station, you cross Crowfoot Blvd diagonally. Then you cross another street, and bridge over another. Approaching Downtown Crowfoot Station, you enter the Cherry Park section of Crowfoot. Exit here for the Crowfoot Supreme Court and Shopping Center. After this station, cross Cherry Ave, and Airport Way, then into the Crowfoot Airport Tunnel. The train continues into the CA Station. 3 platforms and 3 tracks. With another tail track.

Blue Line
After the A/Bullorth Junction, the Blue Line trenches for a quarter of a mile. In the trench, it goes under 22nd Street and the very same freight line(UP) that shares the Vermont Subdivision RoW. On the other side of the trench, A Street converts to Alpine Ave and the line emerges to cross Country Court, and Orlando Ave. Into the Orlando/Convention Center Station, 1 of 3 stops located in East Morg City, exit here for the County Convention Center, the City's NFL stadium, and the Region's Capital Partnership District. After the station, 3 intersections lay ahead: Man Row Ave, Hill Street, and Roosevelt Ave. The train arrives at Morg Blvd Station. Platform 1 is after the crossing(East) and Platform 2 is Before(West). This is the second station located in E Morg City. Leaving Morg Blvd, the line still is in the median of Alpine Ave, but at this point and on, the line converts from street running to free running. The Blue Line also obtuse turns and crosses the westbound side of Alpine Ave, no longer in the median. Arriving Temple Station, located in E Morg City, the train overpass the station plaza and Temple Ave. After, the train enters a 1.75 mile twin tunnels featuring Morg International Airport, and the Morg State University stations. Around the curve from the MIA, the twin enters the MSU/Business Campus. Exit here for the Business Center, Carrier Center, and Education Dev. Department. At this station on street level, there are MCMTA Local buses that are routed through the campus from parts of the county. About 1 min south of this station, the train enters MSU/Recreation Campus. Exit here for the Southern Dorms, Science Building, the Track, and the MSU Olympics. After that, the line S bends around and exits the tunnels to enter the Miliken Ave Station. You are now in Paris Hills. The train begins moving up the hill after the station. Up the hill, the train crosses California Ave. To the west, Division 7 sits. Arriving at Paris Peak, the train turns left. Exit here for the Paris Hills Observatory. Going east than south again getting down from the hill, the train reaches South Road. Trains turn onto the south side of South Rd and continue eastward. The rest of the stations are located on this RoW. Mississippi Ave Station is elevated.

Both Yellow and Blue Lines are completely electrified with overhead wires.

A new Subway Line connecting the Red Line to the Green Line is to be determined.
