Who was Chris Gutjahr? And how the station will become in beta 3.14?

He was my grandfather. I'll miss him; we had a lot in common.
I decided to name a station after him when I was building the RijndamRail railwayline in Rijndam 2018, and now that he is gone, I renovated the station in both Rijndam years to make it look better. This is my way to honor him; I'll think of him each time I pass that station in the simulation.
How the station looks now; just take a look at the wiki-page.

I didn't know he was a member of your family...

Please accept my condolences. :(

Thanks. :)
Let it be on behalf of everyone who'd like to do that, as to prevent this topic filling up with sad messages and to stay positive ;)

You're welcome. ;)
Ok, I'll be careful from now.

And yes, everyone will remember him, in the simulator.

I love that idea to honor a great family member. We should all take in consideration. Thanks Sjoerd for the inspiration. :D

Line 2159; marker="S11-0". There is no marker 0 at track S11.

Here's part of the code concerned:

Code: Select all

   <group id="RDC3">
   <mode id="AB">
   ...
    <autoblock start="S12" destinations="C">
     <start depart="S12" timetable="20">S12</start>
     <end end="S2B" free="S2B"/>
     <end end="S3B" free="S3B"/>
    </autoblock>
    <autoblock start="S11" destinations="C">
     <start depart="S11" timetable="20">S11</start>
     <end end="S2B" free="S2B"/>
     <end end="S3B" free="S3B"/>
    </autoblock>
    <autoblock start="S12" destinations="C">
     <start depart="S12" timetable="20">S11</start>
     <end end="S2B" free="S2B"/>
     <end end="S3B" free="S3B"/>
    </autoblock>
    <autoblock start="S11" destinations="C">
     <start depart="S11" timetable="20">S12</start>
     <end end="S2B" free="S2B"/>
     <end end="S3B" free="S3B"/>
    </autoblock>
   </mode>

Code: Select all

  <route code="SPR-CC1a" end="S2A,S3A" totaltime="180" reversetime="60">
   <aimarkers>
    <marker block="S11" marker="S11-1"/>
    <marker block="S12" marker="S12-2"/>
   </aimarkers>
   <times>
    <depart platform="S12"      time="   0" destinationcode=" 1"  station="rdck"       actions="stop"         stops="S12,S11"/>
    <arrive platform="RDC2a" time=" 180" destinationcode=" 1"  station="rdc"        actions="stop,finish"  stops="RDC2a,RDC3a"/>
   </times>
  </route>

  <route code="SPR-CC1a" end="S11,S12" totaltime="180" reversetime="60">
   <aimarkers>
    <marker block="S11" marker="S11-2"/>
    <marker block="S12" marker="S12-2"/>
   </aimarkers>
   <times>
    <depart platform="RDC2a" time="   0" destinationcode=" 1"  station="rdc"        actions="stop"         stops="RDC2a,RDC3a"/>
    <arrive platform="S12"      time=" 180" destinationcode=" 1"  station="rdck"       actions="stop,finish"  stops="S12,S11"/>
   </times>
  </route>
I tried getting the code from context, but I'm not the route dev, so I don't know the quirks...

You still have not told me what the problem you are experiencing is (it is much more easy to analyse the problem if you tell me what you want to do, and what happens instead). But on the basis of what you just posted, I'll take a guess.
  • You want to send a train from track S12 to track RDC2a.
  • You are wondering why the train does not activate.
  • You do not get a path to get out of S11 or S12.
  • When you get a path out of S11 or S12, you end op at Rijndam Central track 2B or 3B, and your train does not de-activate.
Train activation; Those tracks have track markers placed for direction 1 only, so "S12-2" does not work. In Rijndam, you may have noticed; track 1 and direction 1 are (almost) always the direction of travel towards Rijndam Central Station. So that should be "S12-1".

Path: This won't work:

<autoblock start="S12" destinations="C">
<start depart="S12" timetable="20">S11</start>
<end end="S2B" free="S2B"/>
<end end="S3B" free="S3B"/>
</autoblock>

You are telling the simulator to set a path from track S12 to S2B/S3B, for a train with destination C, 20 sec before the departure time from S12 in the timetable, but only when there is a train detected on track S11. So if you are on track S12, and S11 is empty, you will not get a path on the basis of this code.

It should be:

<autoblock start="S12" destinations="C">
<start depart="S12" timetable="20">S12</start>
<start>S12</start>
<end end="S2B" free="S2B"/>
<end end="S3B" free="S3B"/>
</autoblock>

(The extra "<start>S12</start>" is just to be sure.)

If you want to depart from track S11, with the same route (in which the departure is specified from S12), you could add this:

<autoblock start="S11" destinations="C">
<start depart="S12" timetable="20">S11</start>
<start>S11</start>
<end end="S2B" free="S2B"/>
<end end="S3B" free="S3B"/>
</autoblock>

Notice the start depart="S12" remains, as the route you have defined ("SPR-CC1a") specifies S12 as depart platform. So now, we are telling the CVL to create a path from track S11, if our train is detected on that track, using the departuretime (minus 20sec) specified in the route from platform S12.

Route names: It see this twice, for two different routes: <route code="SPR-CC1a"
It is possible (as far as I know), but it works better when you also use different names, like SPR-CC1a and SPR-CC1b.

Train deactivation: You end up on track S2B or S3B; you train deactivates on S2A, and you do not end up there. You should put in your routes to deactivate at S2B or S3B, arrive platform="RDC2b".
