Here is one; maybe best to continue/re-use this one instead of creating a new one?EddyQ10Trains wrote: ↑14 Aug 2017, 19:58 Sjoerd, you have made us jump on the hype train. What about opening a new I'm a Rijndam citizen thread?

Re: Rijndam
Where did that old track at Panbos, used to go?

Re: Rijndam
My first idea was as a freight line to an old industrial complex, already closed in Rijndam 1985. The tracks until the crossing with the road would be used by passenger trains to the Panbos recreational area, and freighttrains could continue a little further. That way, there would be a good reason for the existance of a railway which in reality would not be build just for a recreational area. The recreational area station would just be a convient second use for a freight connecion. A second use, later to become the only use, and only reason for the line to remain existing.
I had also already started building that industrial area (about 200m further), with a few sidings and buildings, but I was not very happy with the result, so I broke it down again. But I left that little piece there, as a bit of history of the idea. I am not planning to make it, but a pre-Rijndam1985 would include a freightyard beyond this point (and no overhead wires on the railway at all).

Re: Rijndam
Ok, thanks. And it sounds like a good idea to make a 1970s or 1960s Rijndam version some time in the future, where only the railway would exist...
Re: Rijndam
There are no plans for that. The current plan is to get Rijndam 2006 and 2020 ready for 3.12, and after that, resume working on Glasgow.
Rijndam 2006 is just about ready, and in Rijndam 2020 there is still some work to do

Re: Rijndam
Which activities are planned for Rijndam 2006 and Rijndam 2020?
Greetings from Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal.
Re: Rijndam
Normal service on all lines on the metro network, and a few specials;
-> Rijndam 2006: a track maintenance scenario, causing some alterations in the services on lines M1, M2 and M3. (Seen from the perspective of different lines)
-> Rijndam 2020: Depot transfer (out of service from depot Molenwijk at line M1 to depot Blaak at line M6), and a night metro (seen from nightline N1 or line N4).
