  • In Rijndam 1985, Noorderpoort is a terminus, and track 3 is just ment as an emergency/exit platform. In the timetable, only metro's going into the siding beyond platform 2 will use the track at platform 3 (which is one per day; the last metro arriving at Noorderpoort ends here). And perhaps a metro might use it if delays cause the other platform tracks to be occupied on arrival.
  • In Rijndam 2016, the platform came in regular use for metro's continuing to the former railways to Panbos and the Airport. The platform was not changed. The escalators where set on platform entry at the beginning of the platform, and platform exit at the end.
  • In Rijndam 2018, I might change it in the next version, but the current version has already been turned in to Michiel for packaging in Beta 3.11.
  • In Rijndam 2020, the modification has been carried out.
What does it look like on the other side of the platform?
That has not changed; one escalator, exit only.
A fence would be nice, to stop dumb people and small children
It has been installed. ;)

I would want there to be stairs on the city-end in 1985 for incidental use, like events. (even if the grab handle is clipping, the passage is wider than 1 escalator but narrower than 2 escalators.) During that time, trains mostly terminated without pickup at platform 3. (I guess only the last train to Noorderpoort & the rare freight train would use platform 3)

In 2016 onwards, platform 3 is in regular use, so the 2 escalators + stairway would be fine. either that or the 1985 Stairway Solution™.

It's your route, so you do you.

I think it is to late now to make modifications to the Rijndam networks who are going into Beta 3.11 (Michiel also needs some time to combine the files into the final release), but perhaps as modifications for Beta 3.12...

Making the .000 packages is at most 5 minutes of work, and I will not do that earlier then Thursday morning :P Just don't start making changes that could potentially result in new bugs, as after Thursday there are only a few days left for testing.

In that case, I will be able do make some adaptations to the station in the different networks, probably this evening ;)
@Michiel; you will have a new complete package in time (a complete set, so no need to start mixing different files, which might result in unintended bugs :D )

What happens when a level crossing is broken and that is full of people?
A. Just wait until the crossing is clear.
B. Sound the horn, then leave the station.
C. Just wait for a supervisor.

Will beta 3.11 be released this week? Or just after May 31st?

Call the CVL and notify them of the situation. You will then receive instructions, which will most likely be the following; approach the level crossing very slowly (5-10 km/h) and sound the horn. When the crossing is clear, pass it. When the front of the train is passing the crossing, you are allowed to resume normal speed. Until directed otherwise by the CVL, assume the crossing to continue malfunctioning and follow the same passing procedure when you cross it again.
The CVL will notify the other trains in the area and dispatch a repair crew. ;)

In Rotterdam the warning lights are almost never used. The only reason they are on the trains is due to dutch law. The trains on the overhead parts are trams according to the dutch law. So blinkers and brake lights are needed.
