I mean, I would be up for it! I haven't played 3.10 (at least I don't remember playing it)so It would be good for people who haven't played the Rijndam 2016 map

Yes, please have a map Rijndam 2016, because you could edit the layout of the trains even more. :)

Go to the Rijndam 2016 Wiki page to download the add-on for Metrosimulator 3.14; http://sim.bemined.nl/wiki/Rijndam_2016 ;)
The installation instructions are included in the download.

Just out of interest, what did you have to change to make it compatible to the current version?

A few things;
  • Due to a change in the default settings for a road-object, every instance of this object being used in the network had to be manually adjusted one-by-one. As an example, this is how it looked in Rijndam 2020 just before I updated that network (which I did not do with Rijndam 2016 until now);
    Image
  • The destination displays on the rolling stock; there used to be just a few, but the number of trains requiring their own texture files has increased. For example, the SG2 used to share a texture file with the RSG2, but now, the RSG2 requires its own texture. And the MG2/1 and SG2/1 trains are now included in the simulator, and each variant has its own texture file for the destination displays (which I could luckily just copy from another Rijndam map).
  • Due to the change regarding the destination displays, I had to make some changes to the activities, where some SG2 destinations are pre-set when the activity begins. I had to make sure an SG2 on the airport shuttle (for example) wasn't displaying "M2 Ketelplein" :D , requiring me to check all activities for problems like that.
  • Finally, I had to figure out again how to make the 000-file, including all relevant files but leaving the activities out, and getting that to function properly, testing it in the latest release of the simulator (for a complete map, it's a bit different compared to making a 000-file to add a few missing files, like it did with that 3.14 Rijndam fix I uploaded earlier).
