During peak hours, will the carriages on the M1 and the M6 increase from 2 cars (6 carriages) to 3 (9 carriages)?

No. I always try to avoid using coupling/uncoupling during planned exploitation, as that can easily cause delays (it takes some time to add extra units to a consist), and it can easily go wrong if there is already a delay.
Instead, I increase the frequency by adding more trains to the route. This is also a personal preference; I would prefer to see more trains an hour on my daily route, rather then longer but less frequent trains.

Today I found a strange anomaly on line M6 (Rijndam 2020), at the same location as my last screenshot, but on the other track; all trains left the track, and got back to it 50 meters further..... :shock:

Service on line M6 was halted immediately :!: , and the Rijndam Infra maintenance train was dispatched to investigate. The crew found the anomaly just as the M6 drivers reported it.

As the cause for this problem could not be determined, it was decided to remove the defective track, and replace it. New track sections are being delivered;

And then, the 3rd rail;

Finally; a few tests, to see if the replacement has solved the problem, and to de-rust the new tracks (needed for reliable train detection and ATB functionality).

It takes some work to maintain a railway..... :D

For those of you who have missed it earlier; at Station Rijndam Blaak, the other platform now has its own exit too;
