SPR stands for Sprinter. It is what the Dutch railways call their local (stop at all stations) train services.

Now that Beta 3.11 is released, and you have had a chance to explore Rijndam 1985 and 2018, it is time to tell you something about Rijndam 2020, which is intended for Beta 3.12. :)
In the year 2020, the network will be revised, and extended further.

On line M1, the rush hour services will be diverted to Westpoort, where they will terminate at track 3 (wich is out of regular use since the 2016 timetable). This provides a rush hour shortcut for passengers wanting to transfer to lines M2 and M3 to Westplein and further.
Line M2 will be shortened to the Central Station, ending here together with M3.
Line M4 will be taken off the current route around the city centre. It will get a new route to the Central Station, trough a new tunnel under the city centre (with three new stations, and new platforms at Central Station). After that, line M4 will be extended to Transferium Rijndijk, replacing line M2 in this part of the network. Between Noorderpoort and the Central Station, an extra rush hour service will be provided.

As one of the stations along the new line M4 city centre tunnel is geographically located halfway between National Opera and Museumkwartier, lines M2 and M3 will also get a new station at this location, making it possible to transfer between the lines at this station. Located at the south side of the Museumkwartier area, the station is designed to fit in with the style of the modern art Guggenheim museum, which (after their succesfull locations in Bilbao and New York) has now opened a museum in Rijndam.

Also in Rijndam 2020; a new line M6 will be opened. This line runs between the Rijndam Blaak railway station and Tropicana, a subtropical swimmingpool facility (closed in Rotterdam, now reopened in Rijndam).
Transfer to the other lines in the network is possible at three stations in the city centre; Stadhuis (M1), Burcht (M4) and Nationale Opera (M2/M3). It is a fully separate line, but near Nationale Opera a rail link is present with the rest of the network; this way, rolling stock can be send to Molenwijk depot for maintenance.

And finally; the RijndamRail urban train service adds a new station to its network; Rijndam Molenwijk, located next to the Molenwijk station on line M1. From here, services will be provided to the Central Station, and further to Rijndam Westplein/Noordvliet, and to Rijndam Zuid (south).

Nice, can't wait!
Janeway park looks like a station in the Circle line of London Underground, am I correct?

Can't wait for 3.12 now! I wonder how many lines Rijndam will have at the end. Simvliet needs more lines. Good work Sjoerd!
