Knowing that, and having the power to do it, perhaps I should make a retroactive adjustment and install the barriers in Rijndam 1985 and 2016 too 8-)
After all; incomming metro's from Bergenseweg just came downhill off a viaduct, and can still have a high speed when crossing the bikepath here. And the tracks can be slippery in winter conditions ;)

Well, that wasn't too hard, and good for public safety :D
However, as there are barriers now, it takes more time for the signal to clear. So I had to move the detection in the tracks (for metro's coming from Bergenseweg) back, to allow more time for the barriers to close while the metro is approaching.

The 3rd track has no protection at all in Rijndam 1985; this is the connecting track to Bergenseweg Freightyard, which is not a metro depot yet in 1985. So there is (as good as) no traffic on this track in this situation; only the incidental nightly freight transport.

That's not very strange; the whole Sneltram section of the Rotterdam metro also falls under ATB protection, and there are a lot same level crossings there.

What is 'off' here is the fact that this crossing is also where the metro's are using 3rd rail. It is (at least in the Netherlands) not usual to do that. But it is not totally new; there are a lot of examples in the world where this is no problem at all.
Like on the "Ligne de Cerdagne" in southern France for example; a narrow gauge mountain railway, fully operated with 3rd rail, and a lot of level crossings.

It would be usefull information on the destination display. However, the simulator does not provide that functionality; you have only 1 line on the display available per metro (the next line is automatically for the next metro), and you can only input the text before the departure time (like "M5 Transferium Rijndijk", in texture file format). The departure time is always shown in minutes to departure (counting down from a maximum of 60 minutes), and I can't change that.

At Blauwpoorts-brut, trains towards Monument will open both the right and the left doors? And if it's possible can we see a picture of this station? By the way, thanks about the maps.
