New activity: QwertyAfro A/B/C

Post by Sjoerd »

This activity is inspired by QwertyAfro of the youtubechannel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsGy5Q ... n_MvNq8Vfg
In the latest Metrosimulator episode (part 6) on this channel (https://youtu.be/BaEV5bq3j20), QwertyAfro suggested a situation with metro's
terminating at Oostpark (line C) and Stadionweg (line A), as there are unused platforms at these stations.
This activity realises that situation;

-> Line A: Simvliet Centrum - Araplein, every 10 minutes.
-> Line A: Stadionweg - Araplein, rush hour addition, every 10 minutes.
-> Line B: Simvliet Centrum - De Molens, every 10 minutes.
-> Line C: Simvliet Airport - Oostpark, every 10 minutes.
-> Line C: Simvliet Airport - Lelywaard, every 10 minutes.

Together, this realises the following intervals:
-> Simvliet Airport - Simvliet Centrum: a metro every 5 minutes.
-> Simvliet Centrum - Stadionweg: a metro every 2,5 minutes.
-> Stadionweg - Araplein: a metro every 5 minutes.
-> Stadionweg - De Molens: a metro every 10 minutes.
-> Stadionweg - Oostpark: a metro every 5 minutes.
-> Oostpark - Lelywaard: a metro every 10 minutes.

This activity uses a wide variety of rolling stock, including the older metro's.

The activity "QwertyAfro-A" places you in a Line A Stadionweg - Araplein metro (train type RSG3, start at Araplein).
The activity "QwertyAfro-B" places you in a Line B Simvliet Centrum - De Molens metro (train type SG2, start at De Molens).
The activity "QwertyAfro-C" places you in a Line C Simvliet Airport - Oostpark metro (train type MG2, start at Simvliet Airport).

Apart from which metro on the network you drive, the overall scenario is the same.

If you like, you can take over any other metro in the network; If you do not do anything yourself, the metro assigned to you will start driving on AI automatically.
You can turn the AI off with "C" in order to drive it yourself.

I tested this out but you have to make the paths yourself. I was waiting for a train in front to move out of the station but he didn't. It was because the track in front had no path so he couldn't go. Make it so you don't have to set the paths all the time. But good route. I do watch QwertyAfro as well.

I have just tested all three activities; they work fine.
It sounds like you haven't installed the files correctly; all three *.act files and the file RoutesQwertyAfro.ctd have to be in the folder "Beta39\Data\Simvliet2020\Activities".
The problem you mention happens when the CTD file can not be found. So check whether you have installed this corectly.

Thanks Sjoerd. I just realised I haven't put the CTD file in the folder.

I have made a lot of activities lately (for Rijndam 2018 and 1985), I am doing finishing work on those networks now, and I am surveying the sites for the additions I am planning for Beta 3.12 (once 3.11 is released).
I do not have plans to revisit older activities at this time.
