Is this train real? (Type T-bursa)

Post by brozma »

Hello everyone, You know, in explore mode when you are choosing the train to spawn, you can find a train called Type T-Bursa. I will describe it's appearance.
The Type T-Bursa train looks like SG2, but it is yellow and around windows it has a wide black stripe. It also lacks third rail shoe, only equiped with pantograph and it's protected by ATB. In sim it has only two cars with numbers 5231 and 5259. It is absolutely useless in Simvliet metro system (it can only run between Stadionweg-Araplein or between Tussenvelden-De molens), but it is ideal for Simvliet haven brigde loop track.

I have a question: Exist this train in real life? If yes, is it still in use? If yes, How it's being used in real life?
Also It will be good to add this train on wiki  .

If you want to make a very fast ride, just disable ATB/ZUB, put trottle to 1.00 and enjoy.
In my Avatar is a Logo of a Prague metro.

Several SG2's have been exported to the Turkish city of Bursa to serve there for a while. The trains have been repainted and several interior components such as seats have been replaced. The third rail shoes have been removed as the metro system of Bursa runs exclusively on overhead wire. Have a look at the links below, for several images:

Thanks MG2 for explantion. This SG2 bursa train is not absolutelly useless as it looks. You can use it as a backup train between Stadionweg - Araplein (disable ATB first) or Tussevelden - De Molens, but you need diesel locomotive if you want to change sections.
BTW I am very disapointed, there's no information about SG2-bursa train on wiki. I would add this information on wiki, but I can't for those reasons:
1st: Until now, I didn't know anything about SG2-bursa
2nd: Only Senjer can edit wiki.

Everyone can edit the wiki pages. Only for some pages it is beter that not everyone will edit them. For example the showroom, otherwise it will be a mess on those pages. Pages like the SG2 page are free to edit as long everything is right.
