Notepad++ (x86) with the Hex Editor add-on. Both the program and the add-on are freeware.

Before editing the Beta312.000 file, try editing the HSM file, since it’s smaller and easier to edit, so you can learn how it’s done.

Tip: You don’t edit letters but hexadecimal code, so to change something, e.g. “true” to “false”, you have to convert the word “false” to hexadecimal and then, replace the hexadecimal numbers/letters in the file.

Just wait for the next update. I will include the KTM Citylink tram, which can run at 100 km/h
The KTM 23 and 31 are real life Russian trams, and the real ones are limited at 70 km/h.

Oh that's nice, that you are planning new tram. Nothing new for me, I already read article about KTM Citylink on Metrosim wiki and I didn't know that real KTM 23 and 31 trams can go up to 70 km/h.
Man, I guess our tram in Prague are slowpokes. They usually have a governor to keep them around 60 km/h at maximum. Without governor, Tatra T3 and Tatra T6A5 trams can go up to 65 km/h. KT8D5 trams (which have driver's cabin on both sides and are very useful during tramworks) can go up to 68 km/h. The newer types from Skoda transportation company can go very fast. Skoda 14T tram can go up to 80 km/h without governor. Although Skoda 14T is not so commonly used, because at first they looked nice, but they turned out to be defective. (Just like Windows Vista . Vista at first looked nice, but it threw a BSOD every time it could). Skoda 15T trams can go up to 90 km/h without governor. Maybe you think that 90 km/h is too much. I think so. That's why those trams has governors. Just imagine trams dashing in middle of the city around 90 km/h. Disaster inbound!

Just to be clear: they are talking about the real life one, not the simulator one. The release of that one has always been postponed indefinitely after all
